Jerome A. Weinstock died prematurely of a heart attack on June 6, 1974, at the age of 30. He was regarded by all who knew him as a young philosopher of very substantial promise. Professor Weinstock was Assistant Professor of philosophy at Lehman College and the Graduate Center, both of the City University of New York. He received his A.B., magna cum laude from Columbia University and his Ph.d. from The John Hopkins University. Professor Weinstock was the author of several articles in philosophical journals.
