Conclusions

According to the experience gained in erecting the upstream concrete-transport trestleway during construction of the Zeya hydroelectric scheme, in order to reduce labor consumption, the demands for crane time, and the erection period, and to improve conditions for safety, it can be recommended where similar trestleways are being erected that: a) maximal subassembly of the units to be erected should be carried out at subassembly bases not more than 5 to 10 km distant; b) connection of the units being erected should be made with highstrength bolts tightened by calibrated dynamometric wrenches; c) the Zeya method of supporting the pylons should be applied; d) special two-jib units should be used for erecting the heaviest crane-runway girders.
