Additional information

Editor’s Note. This article offers a theoretical method for determining the depth of consolidation grouting for hydraulic pressure tunnels, based on an analysis of rock deformational properties. The results are in good agreement with experimental data. However, for high-pressure tunnels and when the lining is neither waterproof nor crackproff, the depth of grouting should also be checked for watertightness in accordance with the filtration gradient.
