Conclusions

  1. 1.

On the basis of experimental data this article presents design formulas for determining the coefficients of momentum at the end of the surface eddy of a hydraulic jump in rectangular, cylindrical, and triangular channels.

  2. 2.

The design formula presented in the article for the coefficient of momentum at the end of a surface eddy in a rectangular channel has a truer structure than those given in the literature.

  3. 3.

The formulas for the coefficients of momentum in cylindrical and triangular channels are presented for the first time.
