Conclusions
-
1.
Adopting the proposed method of computation, having reliable initial data which is characteristic of the water-ice flow and of the condition of its interaction with the structure, it is possible to compute the passage of ice over the crest of an incomplete dam.
-
2.
The minimum allowable span width of the crest for the condition of unobstructed movement of ice through the hydrocomplex is given by Eq. (13).
-
3.
For passing all ice arriving from upstream, a width of span b>(1.2–1.4)bmin is necessary.
