  • Published:
Hydrotechnical Construction Aims and scope

Conclusions

The preliminary-preparations period in hydropower construction should include a complex of first-priority operations for setting up the construction site. The items to be constructed during this period include entry bases and access and site roads; power-, water-, and heating-supply items; storehouses, repair shops concrete production plants of small capacity, etc.; and dwellings to accommodate 200 to 400 men per site. The preparations period in hydropower construction, as regards deadlines and schedules for the items to be constructed, should be determined by the design and construction organization, individually for each item, taking into account the local geographic and production-engineering conditions.
