Summary
TheSyrphidae, predators of Aphids, are parasitized by severalHymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Pteromalidae andEncyrtidae. Among them, the last named are still very little known, and ifSyrphophagus aeruginosus Dalm., widely distributed, has been bred from different species of Syrphid flies, no particular hosts had yet been mentioned for theBothriothorax spp. in Europe. The Author, having received some bred material, and having been able to study the specimens from the collections ofMayr, Thomson andMercet, gives redescriptions of the three main species, specially distinet by the form of the male antennae, and of two new species.
