Abstract

A statistical analysis of the precision of the coordinates of a visible landmark which has been determined by means of a television-based position indicator is conducted. It is assumed that there are stray measurements due both to the background situation as well as defects in the charge-coupled devices in the sensor. Stable processing algorithms are obtained on the basis of the Kalman filter.
