Conclusions

  1. 1.

The quality of the concrete at the Vlotslavek hydraulic development was satisfactory. A characteristic aspect was the use of a smaller quantity of cement than at other hydraulic projects in Poland, as for example, the Solina project, where, as is known, a large gravity dam was built.

  2. 2.

The strength and density indices of the investigated concrete samples were high; thanks to the use of highfrequency vibrators, the constructional concrete had a strength which was 10–15% higher than that stipulated in the project. project.

  3. 3.

The experience gained with the concreting work will permit the construction of high-quality and less expensive structures at the projects now being constructed or designed in Poland.
