Abstract
The effect ofAzotobacter chroococcum Beij. on tall fescue (Festuca arundinaceae Schreb.) isolated from spores ofGlomus mosseae (Nicol. and Gerd.) Gerd. and Trappe was investigated in a greenhouse experiment. Dry masses of leaves, culms, and roots of tall fescue were significantly higher when tall fescue was inoculated with both Azotobacter and Glomus than with Azotobacter alone. Molybdenum had no significant effect on fescue when added with Azotobacter alone. When molybdenum was added to Azotobacter plus Glomus, however, the dry mass of tall fescue increased significantly.
