Hydrotechnical Construction Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The optimum installed capacity of a hydroelectric station depends essentially on the region considered for utilizing the power. Justification of the region of influence and of the hydroelectric station capacity are inseparable and can be resolved only together.

  2. 2.

The choice of best region for utilizing the hydroelectric station must be made just as strictly and accurately as justification of the basic parameters. The present paper considers the economic criterion, possible cases, and procedure for the power-economics justification of the region of influence of a hydroelectric station.
