Summary

The Author describes the peculiar behaviour of the larvae of some species ofKratochviliana andDiglyphus, parasites of leaf-mining insects.

The last-stage larvae of the parasites, before pupation, dispose the excrements around their body in order to sustain the mine-walls which tend to approach too much. This type of behaviour is emphasized as one of the most interesting examples of high developed host-adaptation.
