Abstract

The quantitative requirements imposed on the echo suppression of an anechoic chamber when measuring the scattering indicatrix are obtained using a four-ray model of the interaction between the object being measured and the anechoic chamber. It is shown that, depending on the bistatic scattering, these requirements may be stricter or less rigorous than the similar requirements for antenna measurements.
