Summary

The relative efficiency of three chemical extractants for the extraction of available Mo from eight general soil types was studied. The Mo extracted by Griggs reagent (acid ammonium oxalate) showed significant relationship with plant Mo content. The extractants which gave significant correlations with the greatest number of soils may be arranged in the following sequence:

$$0.275 M NH_4 oxalate > .03 N NH_4 F > 0.1N NaOH.$$
