Summary
The incidence of wilt disease of pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.) caused byFusarium udum under soil treatments with various substances was studied under field conditions. The disease incidence was highly suppressed under mixed cropping withCrotalaria medicaginea. Phygon XL was found to be the most effective fungicide to reduce the incidence of the disease. The incidence of wilt disease also decreased in case of soil amended with the leaves ofC. medicaginea. Wilt incidence increased in the soil amended with the roots of pigeon pea.
