From the resolutions concerning the determination of entomophagous insects adopted in Stockholm in 1948, and the first project for the establishment of an european identification service in 1949, up to the present organisation of the C.I.L.B., the Center of identification in Geneva has gone during ten years through several periods of its development, which are mentioned in these notes.
