Abstract

The fungusVerticillium lecanii (Deuteromycétes) was mass cultured on an inexpensive substrate (grain seeds or bread cubes) and, after final processing was used, either undiluted or diluted to a 10 per cent concentration, as a preparation againstCoccus hesperidum in the glasshouse. With both concentrations an 85–100 per cent mortality was achieved within 3 weeks. In addition to this typically parasitic fungus, tests were performed with the fungusAspergillus candidus, which proved to be equally effective.
