Abstract
The efficiency of detecting parasitism in puparia ofHylemya brassicae (Bouché) with X-radiography was established as 92% as compared with results of actual rearing. The technique is more efficient with host puparia collected in the spring than in the previous fall, because both host and parasite are in more advanced developmental stages. the procedure did not affect host adult emergence, host oviposition, host egg hatching, or parasite emergence.
