Summary

The activity ofVagoiavirus melolonthae towards 16 species ofScarabaeidae, 3 Coleoptera, 3 Lepidoptera and 2 Diptera was studied by injection into the hemocoel and contamination of the substratum or of the rearing host plant. Only insects belonging to 3 sub-families ofScarabaeidae: Hopliinae, Melolonthinae, Rutelinae, are susceptible to the disease.
