Transient processes in nonlinear thin-wire bolometers for laser radiation

Abstract

Transient processes in nonlinear thin-wire bolometers have been analyzed for the case when the main physical parameters of the latter are a linear function of the temperature. By recording the bolometer output signal parameters while switching the optical power, it is possible to increase the power measurement accuracy, to eliminate the systematic error due to conversion nonlinearity, and to determine the relative parameter of nonuniform optical power distribution over the area of the entry aperture of the device.
