Summary
Periodical application of trans-\-farnesene, incorporated in polyvinylchloride from which it was slowly and regularly released, did not measurably inhibit the infection of seed-potato-plots with PVYN by aphid alatae.
The progeny of PVYN-infected hills proved to be only partially infected with the disease.
