Abstract

For a thermoelastic half-space we study the problem of constructing in the space of continuous functions a quasi-optimal control of the axisymmetric vertical displacements in a given section parallel to the boundary surface in the form of a sequence that minimizes the original optimality criterion. For a half-space heated over a circular region by a heat flux of constant intensity we carry out a numerical analysis of the behavior of the elements of the minimizing sequence.
