Summary
Quantitative and qualitative differences were observed in the pigments of light-grown and dark-grown sprouts of the potato.
Genetic implications of the qualitative differences are discussed and a set of genes governing the presence of leuco-anthocyanidin and its conversion to anthocyanidin are postulated.
