Abstract

For technological facilities used in chemical and petrochemical industries, we present certain examples of the process of corrosion cracking of copper-lined apparatus and the equipment, manufactured from carbon and stainless steels of the 08Kh18N10T and 10Kh17N13M2T types and bimetals (20 steel+12Kh18N10T steel, 20 steel+10Kh17N13M2T steel). The peculiarities of their behavior under corrosion cracking are studied, and the danger of this phenomenon is discussed.
