Competing anisotropy magnetism

Invited Papers; Concluding Remarks

Abstract

The experimental results obtained for various kinds of random mixtures with competing magnetic anisotropies are reviewed. We show that the nature of the phase transitions and the properties of the ordered phases in competing anisotropy systems are much different from those in pure systems.
