Stoffwechseluntersuchungen am Menschen mit einem anabolen Steroid (Methandrostenolon)

Zusammenfassung

Methandrostenolon bewirkt bei Kranken eine deutliche Besserung des Allgemeinbefindens. Der proteinanabole Effekt läßt sich durch positive Stickstoffbilanz und Gewichtsanstieg nachweisen.

Unter Methandrostenolon sinkt im Serum die Albuminkonzentration, während die α2-Globulinkonzentration ansteigt. Die Blutzuckerwerte bei Glucosedoppelbelastung sind unbeeinflußt. Eine regelmäßige Wirkung auf den Grundumsatz besteht nicht. Methandrostenolon kann die Steroidausscheidung im Urin vermindern.

Der anabole Effekt auf die Knochenmatrix wird mit Knochenbiopsien nachgewiesen. Eine Verbesserung eingeschränkter Nierenfunktion läßt sich nicht zeigen.
