Dem vom U. S.-Landwirtschaftsministerium veröffentlichten „Yearbook of Agriculture 1943–1947” mit besonderer Genehmigung entnommen

E. W. Laake, seit 1913 am „Bureau of Entomology and Plant Quarantine”, ist Entomologe des Laboratoriums von Kerrville (Texas). Seine Arbeiten betreffen hauptsächlich die gesundheitsschädlichen Insekten von Mensch und Haustieren.

W. G. Bruce ist Entomologe des Laboratoriums von Savannah (Georgia) der „Division of Insects Affecting Man and Animals” am „Bureau of Entomology and Plant Quarantine”. Er hat in allen Teilen der Vereinigten Staaten Untersuchungen über veterinärmedizinisch wichtige Insekten durchgeführt.
