Abstract
A method is proposed for the long-term numerical prediction of the settlement and tilt of a foundation of high bending stiffness and large area and the reactive pressure beneath its lower surface with allowance for the spatial conditions of its combined functioning with a nonuniform saturated consolidating bed and arbitrary combined-loading regime. The method is based on solution of the basic equation of the consolidation of a quasi-linearly deformable three-phase soil medium in V. A. Florin's statement by the finite-difference method. Computational results are presented.
