Abstract

Investigations about tolerance of Khapra Beetle (Trogoderma granarium Everts) to methyl bromide at low temperature in relation to concentration, type of post-treatment and stage of development

The influence of variou methyl bromide concentrations (5–100 g/m3 was investigated at 5 °C on the tolerance ofTrogoderma-larvae in relation to two post-treatment methods. Experimental results show that there are no significant differences betwenn the mean of the ct-products of the higher concentrations (18–100 g/m3 and of the lower concentrations (5–12 g/m3 producing 90 and 99.9 per cent mortality, if the larvae are kept for another 10 days at this fumigation temperature before they are held at 28 °C until final control.
