Director of the Commission of the European Communities' Task Force for Human Resources, Education, Training and Youth, which includes responsibility for a number of Community programmes, notably ERASMUS, COMETT, LINGUA, FORCE, EUROTECNET, TEMPUS and the European Training Foundation for Co-operation with Central and Eastern Europe. Author of numerous articles on education and training in Europe and co-author of several works, among them: Teaching and Learning: An Introduction to New Methods and Resources in Higher Educationand Planning and Management of Universities: A Study of British Universities.
