Abstract

The widely distributed but rare leechGlossiphonia paludosa (Carena) was collected for the first time in The Netherlands in 1988 in a eutrophic ditch in the nature reserve ‘De Regulieren’ near Geldermalsen. The habitat is described briefly and, for the first time, the life cycle ofG. paludosa is presented.
