A former high school principal, Joseph M. Cronin is now assistant professor of education at Harvard University. He is director of the annual Collective Negotiations Institute, chairman of the governor's Task Force on Education for Massachusetts, and a member of the education panel of the American Arbitration Association.

Julian D. Crocker, Jr. is a doctoral student in educational administration at Harvard University. He assisted in editing a series of case studies on collective bargaining in education for the New England School Development Council.
