High performance liquid and gas liquid chromatography applied to the purification of pesticide plant and animal metabolites

Chromatographia Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

New approaches to the isolation and purification of plant and animal pesticide metabolites have been developed. Polar conjugates (glycosides, glucuronides, sulfate esters, etc.) from plant or animal metabolism studies have been purified either as the intact conjugates or as derivatives of the enzyme hydrolyzed conjugates by using a combination of high performance liquid chromatography or gas liquid chromatography. The methods developed for the isolation and characterization of the plant and animal isopropyl-3-chlorocarbanilate metabolites are described.
