Summary
A method for the control of the microbial hydroxylation of Reichstein compound “S” is described. Separation of cortisol, epicortisol, cortisone and Reichstein compound “S” was carried out by means of thin-layer chromatography. A polarographic method was used for the evaluation of the single steroid fractions.
