Summary
Various methods for quantitative evaluation of thin-layer chromatograms based on a linear relationship between concentration and test-data have been described in the literature. The limitations of these approaches are shown by means of statistical methods and the advantages as well as applications of a quadratic-logarithmic approach are demonstrated.
