Summary

A semi-preparative (250mm×10mm i.d.) chiral liquid chromatographic column incorporating a chiral material derived from N-formylisoleucine has been found to be suitable for the resolution of milligram or larger quantities of two aminoacid esters. The method should be capable of being used for other racemic materals on an even larger scale.
