Summary
The wetting of pyrex glass by a highly polar liquid stationary phase-1,2,3, (2 cyanethoxy) propane-is investigated, directly and also after diverse surface treatments, by measuring the contact angle over a wide range of temperatures. Starting from the values obtained for the contact angle in each case, the relative efficiency of the various treatments can be evaluated, as well as the influence exerted on the contact angle by the thermal history of the drop.
