The content of water vapour in the atmosphere over West Africa

Summary

The total water vapour content of the atmosphere in the form of precipitable water (Pw) has been studied over West Africa, using data from Abidjan, Bamako, Dakar, Nouadhibou and Niamey. Seasonal variations ofPw and of actual precipitation are compared with each other.

Der Gesamtwasserdampfgehalt der Atmosphäre, ausgedrückt als niederschlagbares Wasser (Pw), wurde über Westafrika aus Daten von Abidjan, Bamako, Dakar, Nouadhibou und Niamey berechcet. Der Jahresgang desPw und des tatsächlichen Niederschlages werden miteinander verglichen.
