Occurence of Aspidiotus hederae (Vallot) (Coccidae Diaspididae) on Cassia trees in Egypt
The armoured scaleAspidiotus hederae sucking atCassia artemisoides near Alexandria had an annual peak of abundance in November, with an avarage annual, fluctuation of 5.3. The build up of population of this pest onCassia trees has been studied.A. hederae showed 3 generations between March 1969 and February 1970. Control measures against the pest in orchards should includeCassia trees growing in the surroundings.
