Conclusions
-
1.
The magnitudes of pressures on the walls of the jet-mixing chamber and the outlet conduit do not give rise to apprehensions regarding the jet-type valve chamber's safe operation in service.
-
2.
Having regard to the fact that the movable nozzles of the jet-type valve are located in a zone of direct application of large masses of water enclosed in a relatively small space, it will be necessary in the future to conduct more detailed investigations of the dynamic characteristics of the flow and the nozzles in order to determine the reliability of their operation.
