Conclusions
1. In order to prevent deformation of reservoirs when constructing level embankments, the possibility of the occurrence of additional forces caused by the load due to the embankments should be accounted for or embankments should be raised in advance thus creating a preliminary loading of the area.
2. The use of the kq values resulting from formulas (1) and (2) or given in Fig. 2b will make it possible to more accurately account for the effect of unidirectional or two-dimensional semiinfinite overloading in the form of embankments, loads on the floor, and cushioning layers in tank structures located on the natural ground surface or above this surface on the fills.
