Conclusions

  1. 1.

Consideration of special conditions for the passage of flows through the sluice during the current year made it possible to employ a temporary scheme for maneuvering the basic gates and to complete construction of the sluice in time for the flood due to a reduction in the volume of construction-assembly work and a shortening of construction times.

  2. 2.

The construction of supports for the underground working-gate unit in sectional reinforced concrete made it possible to reduce the time required for construction of the unit due to concurrent construction-assembly operations.

  3. 3.

The adoption of reinforced-concrete support designs in combination with anchors enabled us to deviate from the traditional method employed to build similar units using reinforced-concrete arches.
