Hydrotechnical Construction Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

An engineering method developed for computing the size of a blast-induced zone of disturbance in rock masses utilized as foundations for structures makes it possible to define the range of blasting without protective layers and differentiate and optimize the dimensions of these layers with allowance for the properties of the rock masses.

  2. 2.

The analysis that we conducted makes it possible to evaluate the rationality of various technological schemes for drilling and blasting operations near the periphery of trenches.

  3. 3.

The results of studies that we performed enable us to define more precisely and develop positions for the Construction Norms and Regulations on drilling and blasting operations near the periphery of trenches opened for critical structures.
