Rapid separation of some alkaloids of toxicological and pharmaceutical importance on zirconium antimonate paper

Chromatographic behaviour of opium and strychnos alkaloids, along with atropine and ephedrine, on paper impregnated with zirconium antimonate using aqueous eluents is reported. Numerous separations of alkaloid mixtures containing up to five components were achieved within 15 minutes.
