Summary
A high-speed microtome is described, by means of which supravital histological slices can be made with 8–10 µ thickness. The slices are caught under physiological conditions and are made use of by a phasecontrast or luminescence microscope. In the preparation which is being suffused, kidney-slices can be kept alive for 16 min.
