Summary

A patient is presented who exhibited many of the features observed in other previously reported patients with benign lymphoid hyperplasia including chronic peptic ulcer symptoms, radiologic demonstration of gastric ulcer with surrounding filling defects, and gastroscopic appearance consistent with gastric malignancy. The histologic findings of a polymorphous cellular infiltrate with mature lymphocytes and follicle formation suggested the diagnosis of benign lymphoid hyperplasia and implies a benign course.
