Summary
A techniue for evaluating qualitatively and quantitatively the solvent adsorbent at different heights on the thin layer froml the immersion line to the liquid front is described. These measurements permit a study of the eluent demixing phenomenon. The results of standard experiments are shown. When the solvent is a mixture of volatile compounds, the percentage compostion of eluent changes continously. When the solventt is a mixture of in volatile compounds, a sharper eluent demixing is found with consequent formation of pure solvent zones.
