New C-nor,D-homosteroid alkaloid germinine fromVeratrum lobelianum

Abstract

The results are given of an investigation of the alkaloid composition of the hypogeal part ofVeratrum lobelianum Bernh. The new alkaloid germinine has been isolated and its structure has been established on the basis of physicochemical properties and chemical transformations.
