Abstract
17-Deoxyprednisolone, a decomposition product of prednisolone, interferes in some stability-indicating spectrophotometric methods for corticosteroids. The false positive reaction of 17-deoxyprednisolone with tetrazolium blue and with the method ofBundgaard andHansen (1979), is discussed.
