Summary
The catecholamines adrenaline, noradrenaline and dopamine are completely separable as dansyl derivatives with highperformance liquid chromatography on a micropacked silica gel column in less than six minutes. Estimation is by means of a fluorescence detector which makes possible the determination of the amines down to 50 picograms. Optimal conditions for derivatization are given.
